TERRA SONOMA was born in 2004 when we were inspired by the vineyard to create a culinary product and our inherent urge to not waste any fruit from the vineyards. For premium winegrowing we all have a green harvest, the thinning of fruit, and is essential in producing rich, deeper flavors for winemaking. At the onset of veraison, the point when winegrapes are starting to turn color or gain sugar, occurring 8 to 10 weeks prior to winegrape harvest in early to mid August each year is now our Verjus harvest.

In 2008, we created another culinary extravagance - Saba. And, yet another product made from the excess of winegrowing and winemaking. Saba is made from winegrape must and reduced down into a thick sweet versatile sauce.
Our family ranch, GARDEN CREEK RANCH named after a creek behind our home, is 100-acres of rolling hillside in Alexander Valley which lies between Healdsburg and Geyserville in Sonoma County. We have been winegrowing since 1969, producing wine since 2001 and VerJus since 2004. Our dedicated focus is growing Bordeaux varietals of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Chardonnay.
